The brass at MSNBC has replaced Dan Abrams with Rachel Maddow in their week day 9 pm time slot. She'll begin her program on September 8th.
Maddow is a frequent commentator on MSNBC shows, and recently filled in for Keither Olbermann on his COUNTDOWN program.
Maddow is an out lesbian with her own show on Air America - The Rachel Maddow Show.

WAY cool! I might actually watch MSNBC on a regular basis now!
Finally, an intelligent, thoughtful pundit gets her own show. I think she should call it No Crosstalk! (not really because that is kind of stupid) Hopefully Rachel's insight and sharp wit will bring in decent ratings on a daily basis. We really need cogent discourse, and not all the yelling and BS that have been the standard for political talk shows on cable "news" networks. Hope she has a producer who gets her.
So happy to hear the news!!!! Rachel deserves it, her insight and intelligence will be greatly appricated by the msnbc viewers! She's such a great example for the GLBT community!!! We should show her lots of love on Sept 8th!
