Last month, Lawrence King was shot by a fellow classmate. A few days prior, Lawrence asked his classmate if he would be his Valentine. That motivated such hate and fear in this other 14 year old, that he shot Lawrence dead.
Eight months ago, Sean Kennedy was walking out of a store when a guy jumped out of his truck, called Sean a "fag" then punched him in the face. When Sean hit the ground, the blow to his head broke his brain stem killing him. An hour later, his murderer called a mutual friend and left this message, "Tell your faggot friend that he broke my hand and owes me $500".
I'm not sure. What should we all do about people like Rep Kern?
I think I'll give her a call Monday and let her know, she's right. I am hitting the schools with my homosexual agenda. I'd like her kind to stop killing my kind. I'd like us all to give peace a chance.

What!? Who is this women? And why is nobody interrupting her? For me it's unbelievable, that people actually think that I am a thread to their children, and I am a deadly desease and that I have to be stopped.

WHAT A STUPID BITCH. SHE JUST SOUNDS LIKE AN IDIOT.
How disappointing a person in her position of influence -- a parent, a teacher, and a politician -- would use such hateful speech -- especially in a public forum. These are roles in which we as the public invest trust within individuals.
JD, thank you for continuing to use your voice to bring us a phenomenal blog that -- like the perfect cocktail -- is the exactly the right mix.
Unfortunately, there are public officials in every state like her, not just Oklahoma. Even in the great state of Minnesota. No rest for our agenda.
Thanks for the post, JD. It's really important to expose this kind of intolerance and Ellen's right: this kind of thinking leads to verbal abuse, leads to physical violence, leads to hate-crime murder.

Looks to me like she might just be a great, big, closeted lesbian! Sometimes those are the ones who cry out the loudest. I can't believe that people actually think the way she does. Yes, she is very stupid. Somebody get her out of that office!
