2007 Point Inspiration Award Honoree
Leaders in the media note that “ABC has the most extensive portrayal of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender characters thanks to shows like Ugly Betty, Brothers and Sisters, Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives, along with their other exceptional daytime and evening programming.”
The Point Inspiration Award recognizes a corporation or organization that champions respect and inclusion of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and operates with the vision that investing in today’s potential will produce a brighter tomorrow.
Point Foundation invites you to join us for this important evening.
2007 Point Courage Award Honoree: Mr. Adam Shankman
The Point Courage Award recognizes an individual who has selflessly advocated for the future of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and lives with the vision that investing in today’s potential will produce a brighter tomorrow.
We are honored to present the Point Courage Award to director and choreographer Adam Shankman. As one of the most loved and commercially successful filmmakers of his generation, Adam lives his life openly and unapologetically. His talents have been showcased in box-office hits such as Hairspray, A Walk to Remember, The Wedding Planner and Step Up, as well as television’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer and music videos with Whitney Houston, Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson. For his support of the LGBT community, tonight we honor him center stage.
